Adding to your reason, some statistics are supporting that many of people under 18 do not have concern about politics. So i also think allowing them to vote is not appropriate. If they can vote, there are so many votes that is not effective because the person who vote was voting with no deep thought, Just "i like this people more". I think lowering the standard should be go into effect when even education of politics is providing.
