Not long ago, Korea was given the right to vote from the age of 19, but no country has an election age of 19 in terms of countries belonging to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). It doesn't fit the global trend.

Second, the acquisition and exchange of various information has become much easier and more active in our society due to democratization, improvement in education level, and rapid development of social networking services (SNS). The field of politics is no exception. Therefore, teenagers who have reached the age of 18 have already the ability and knowledge to vote with their own beliefs and political judgments. Yoo Gwan-soon, who led the March 1st Independence Movement, was 17 years old at the time. And, in fact, there are many countries that regard people as adults from the age of 17, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Pakistan as 16 years old, and Indonesia or Iran as adults from the age of 15.
