그냥 즉흥적으로 하자고.

=> 앞으로 몇 회에 걸쳐 사람의 신체와 관련된 표현을 살펴보기로 합니다. 오늘은 “귀로 듣고 연주하다(play it by ear)”라는 표현입니다. 

이것은 재즈 애드리브 같은 연주처럼 악보를 보지 않고 귀로만 들으면서 연주하는 데서 나온 표현인데, 어떤 일을 계획없이 진행한다는 의미로 쓰입니다.

A:Hi, Joey. What are we supposed to do tomorrow?

B:Let's just play it by ear.

A:Well then, you mean you don't have any plans?

B:It doesn't always work out exactly as scheduled after all, you know? 

A:야, 조이. 우리 내일 뭐 해야 하지?

B:그냥 즉흥적으로 하자고.

A:그럼, 아무 계획도 없다는 거야?

B:어차피 늘 계획한 대로 되는 것만은 아니잖아?
