I agree with this new method of CSAT. At this point, the CSAT has an important meaning for South Korean students. It is also a day to evaluate 12 years of elementary, middle and high school time, which is common for South Korean students, and most of the students in the humanities are targeted at universities. But I don't think the current CSAT system is right. The College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) takes place in just one day. It means that there are many factors that can be controlled by the tension of the day and my condition. A year's worth of time is required for the next opportunity. So imagine if the CSAT system has changed to an absolute evaluation. What are the effects we can expect? First, we don't have to concentrate on studying anymore. Korean students are given an exorbitant amount of credit to survive the current test, which is a relative evaluation. This is because you have to spend more time than others to get a better grade. Of course, the fact that you have to spend a lot of time for a good grade remains the same. But it may take less time than now. Secondly, we can have more opportunities. For students who currently choose and prepare on time, a single chance can be a burden. However, if we take the absolute evaluation system, universities will prepare another test for discrimination in order to select the best among many students. Then we have another chance of another test. We can expect the effect to ease the burden on students. Lastly, the third expected effect is that creative students can be released. It means that there could no longer be students who are only good at studying through interviews and other forms of exams, but students who are clearly interested and have creative thinking. I think it makes no sense to expect creative students with the current CSAT. Although we can choose a subject, the way we take a class is also adapted to the way we accept other people's thoughts rather than the way we think of it as an instructor-led class. However, if we change the CSAT to an absolute evaluation system, we will have to save time to prepare for it and prepare for interviews and other tests. It will be an opportunity for students to express their opinions. I support the transition to absolute evaluation for three reasons. The current CSAT system has produced many students who are good at studying, but it seems that more and more students are able to think about our society about their lives. Many children seem to be focused on accepting their situations one by one and the other and just achieving their daily success. But as everyone knows, students are the ones who will be responsible for the nation's future. If the students who are responsible for the nation's future are those who have uncritical acceptance, the state will be degenerated. I think that an absolute evaluation system that gives Korean students an opportunity to develop their creativity is essential for the future. Therefore, I agree to change the absolute evaluation of the CSAT system. |
