- "Then we must help Edward and Catherine," Ned repolied.
"그다음에 우리가 에드워드와 캐서린을 도와주는거야," 네드가
"Wait a minute - those are our real names!"
"몇분만 그다려주자 그들이 우리들 이름알어!"
They looked around, anxious for the next clue, but the house was disappointingly normal.
그들은 주위를 보았다, 다음 실마리는 정상의어서 실망시켰다.
Night came and still there was no mist.
밤에 안개가 왔다.
Kit and Ned waited for hours, not wanting to sleep.
키트와 네드는 한시간정도 기다렸다 그러나 잠이들었다.
Finally, the mists gathered, taking Ned and Kit back to shadow time.
마지막 안개는 네드와 키트의 마음을 끌어 그림자가 되었다
"Quick! To the lake," cried Ned,
"빨라! 호수" 네드가 소리쳤다,
finding himself outside.
발견한것은 자신의 바깥쪽이었다.
Lashed by rain and struggling against the wind, they darted through trees... and found they weren't alone
비와 바람을 향하여, 그들은 돌진을 했다 다만 홀로였다.
Hubble was shaking Gervase in a panic
허블 때문에 거베이스는 무서워서 떨고있다.

- Amos was waiting in the distance.
아모스는 거리를 기다렸다
And there was Catherine, rushing through trees, dressed as a boy and carrying some clothes.
그리고 거기에는 캐서린이 있었다
"She's heading for the lake," said Kit.
"그녀가 호수쪽을 향해" 키트가 말했다
"But Hubble's chasing after her," Ned added.
"하지만 허블이 그녀뒤를 따라가는데" 네드가 더말했다
"Quick!"
"빨라!"
They reached the lakeside and stared in hoorror.
그들은 빤히 봐라보았다.
Catherine was struggling with Hubbled on a little jetty, above the murky water.
캐서린은 허블때문에 노력했다. 어두운 물
"He'll push her in," said Kit.
"그가 그여자를 밀었어" 키트가 말했다
"Then she'll drown for real!"
"진짜로 그때는 물에 빠트렸어!"
"We mustdo something," said Ned, desperately.
"우리가 무언가를 꼭 해야되," 네드가 필사적으로 말했다

- Spotting Catherine's cloak, he held it up high and crept onto the jetty.
캐서린이 망토를 가지고
Beside him, Kit waved a wooden oar from a little boat.
그와같이 키트는 나무로 만든 몽둥이로
All Hubble and Catherine could see were a billowing cloak and a haunted oar.
허블은 캐서린을 바라 보다가 캐서린이 망토로 귀신이 붙은것 처럼했다.

- "Agghhh!" cried Hubble,
"애기!" 허블한테 소리쳤다.
as Ned flung the cloak over his head.
네드는 그의 머리에 망토를 던졌다.
Catherine saw her chance and fled through the trees.
캐서린은 그여자를 우연히 보았고 도망칠 것인줄도 알았다.
"Let's make him think she's drowned," said Kit
"그녀가 그에게 물에빠트리라고 시켰어." 키트가 말했다
While Hubble struggled with the cloak, kit overturned the wooden boat and Ned chucked Catherine's hat into the lake.
네드가 캐서린의 모자를 안으로 가볍게 쳤어.

- Whirling leaves masked the scene, then all was calm.
나뭇잎을 빙빙 돌려서 무대처럼, 조용했다.
It was morning and Kit and Ned were back in their own time.
아침에 키트와 네드는 그들의 시간으로 돌아갔다.
"Look," called Kit, "Amos is in our garedn!"
"봐봐" 키트가 불렀다, "아모스의 가든이야!"
They rushed outside to greet the old man, who seemed to know all about their adventures.
그들은 바깥족으로 돌지하였다 그리고 늙은사람에게 인사를 했다. 그들의 모험 모든것을 알고있었다.
"Time has pakked," he whispered.
"시간은 친구야" 그가 속삭였다.
"Hubble is haunted by guilt.
"허블 곁에있던 귀신.
His end is near.
그는 가까이
On the day he dies, you must tell everyone the truth."
너희들은 모든 사람들에게 진실을 말할 필요가있어"
"When did he die?" asked Ned,
"그는 정확히 언제 죽었니?" 네드에게 물었다
but once again Amos had vanished.
그러거는 아모스는 다시 살아졌다.
"We'll have to find out for ourselves," sighed Kit.
"우리가 우리자신을 찾아냈어," 키트가 한숨쉬며
"Umm... there's a graveyard near here," said Ned.
묘지인 여기에서" 네드가 말했다.
"If we can find his gravestone, we'll know the date."
"우리가 묘석을 찾았어, 우리는 날짜를 알고있어."

- Just then, the door opened and Amos walked in.
문을 열고 아모스는 걸었다.
He stared at Kit and Ned, then looked at the bookshelf.
그가 키트와 네드를 바라보았다, 책상을 바라보았다.
Kit followed his gaze and saw... Hubble's diary.
키트는 그의 시선을 따라갔다 그다음에는 허블의 일기장.
The diary contained proof of his crimes.
일기에는 증거가 있었다 그는 그리스도이다.
Kit snatched it from the shelf, sending other books flying.
키트는 선반을 잡았다, 신호로 책을 날렸다,
As she carried it over to the lawyer,
그녀는 변호사쪽으로 운반했다.
everyone gasped - except Hubble,
허블을 제외하고 모든사람들은 숨이찼다
who quaked beneath his blanket.

"It appears I have something else to read," said the lawyer, in surprise.
"무언가가 나타났어," 변호사에게 말했다 놀랐다.
He began to read aloud from the diary.

Kit and Ned wanted to hear more, but they were swirled into the garden.
키트와 네드는 더 많은것을 탐냈어, 그러나 마당에 있었다.
Time had moved on and Catherine and Edward were both back, looking very happy.
시간은 흘러서 캐서린과 에드워드가 있은쪽으로 뒤도라 갔다, 매우 행복해 보였어.
