I have a story to tell.
난 말해줄 이야기가 있어.
It is a story of love and hatred.
이건 사랑과 증오의 이야기며,
A story of giving and taking.
주는 것과 받는 것의 이야기고,

웃음과 눈물의 이야기야.
This story was told a long time ago.
이 이야기는 아주 오래전의 이야기지.
But it still has as much meaning today as it did then.
하지만 아직도 전처럼 많은 의미가 담겨있지.

He earned a lot by lending money to merchants.
Many people hated Shylock.
Some people hated him because forced merchants to repay him in terrible ways.
Others hated him simply because he was Jewish.
