- The elder sisters jumped out of bed and ran to him.

On the table were a roasted chicken with potatoes, cake, and hot coffee.

As soon as the old man picked a rose, he heard a loud growl.

- I didn't mean to offend you.
-나는 기분을 상하게 하지 않았어.
I just wanted a rose for my youngest daughter," siad he.
-나는 그냥 나의 막내딸이 원하는 장미를 찾고있어," 그가 말하였어요.
"I don't care about that!
-"나는 저것을 (?) !
And don't call me 'my Lord.'
-그리고 나를 (?) 라고 부르지마.'
My name is 'Beast.' That's what I am."

Then the Beast began to think.
-그때 야수는 생각하기 시작하였어요.
"You say you have a daughter, eh?
-"당신은 딸에대하여 말해보았어, 어?"
You may go home.
-당신은 집으로가.
But you have to send me your daughter.
-하지만 딸은 나한테 보내.
If your daughter doesn't come here, I'll kill you and your whole family!"
-여기로 딸을 보내지않으면, 나는 가족 모두를 죽일거야!"

- The old man knew that the Beast wasn't joking.
-늙은 남자는 야수가 장난이 아니라고 생각하였어요.
But the merchant didn't plan to send his daughter.
-하지만 상인은 딸들을 안보낼 계획이였어요.
"Beast," the old man said, "I have a problem.
-"야수," 늙은 남자가 말하였어요, "나는 걱정이 있어.
I have no money to send her.
-나는 돈이없어 그녀를 보내야되.
Also, nobody else in my family works.
-또한, 다른 가족은 일을 하지 않을거야.
Without her, the rest of my family will starve."
-그녀 없이, 나머지의 나의 가족은 나중에 굶어 죽을거야."
"Don't you worry about that," said the Best.
-"그것은 걱정하지 말어," 야수가 말하였어요.
"Take some gold from my castle.
-"나의 성에서 금을 찾으면되.
I have lots of it.
-나는 그것이 매우 많아.
Give the gold to your family."
-너의 가족에게 금을 줄수있어."
The old man took a bag of gold with him and started walking home.
-늙은 남자는 금이 있는 가방을 가지고 집으로 갔어요.

- When the old man arrived home, he was tried and very sad.
-늙은 남자는 집에 도착하였고, 그는 피곤하였고 매우 슬펐어요.
The elder daunghters looked at his face and sighed.
-첫째 딸이 그의 얼굴을 바라보고 한숨을 쉬었어요.
They knew that something was wrong.
-그들은 잘못된 생각을 가지고 있었어요.
"Let's me guess.
-"추측을 해보자.
The last boat sank, and we're still poor," said the eldest daughter.
-마지막에 배는 가라앉고, 우리는 가난하게 살아야되요," 첫째 딸이 말하였어요.
"Don't worry about money.
-"돈은 걱정하지 말아.
We have lots of that," said the merchant.
-우리가 가지고 있는 그 많은것이야," 상인이 말하였어요.
He opened his bag, and gold fell out all over the floor.
-그는 그의 가방을 열었고, 금이 바닥 곳곳에 떨어졌어요.

- The older daunghters started filling their pockets.
-첫째 딸이 주머니 속에 넣기 시작하였어요.
Beauty looked at her father and said, "I'm worried about you.
-뷰티는 그녀의 아빠를 바라보며 말하였어요, "나는 당신이 걱정되요.
"Actually, I'm sad because of this present," said the old man.
-"실제로, 나는 슬퍼 왜냐하면 선물때문이야," 늙은 남자가 말하였어요.
He took out the rose, and gave it to Beauty.
-그는 장미를 가지고 밖으로 나가고, 뷰티에게 주었어요.
Then he told his daughters the sad story about the Beast, the castle,and the rose.
-그때 그는딸에게 슬프게 야수,성,장미에 관한 이야기를 하였어요.
The elder daughters didn't care about his story.
- 첫째 딸은 그의 이야기를 걱정하지 않았어요.
They were happy playing with their gold.
-그들은 그들의 금이 있어 행복하였어요.
But Beauty couldn't stop crying.
-하지만 뷰티는 울음을 멈추지 않았어요.
"Oh, this is awful.
-"오, 이것은 끔찍해.
This is all my fault."
-이것의 모든것은 나의 잘못이야."
After a while, Beauty said quietly, "I'm going th the Beast, father.
"
-그후 동안, 뷰티는 조용히 말하였어요, "나는 야수한테 가야해요, 아버지."

The next morning, Beauty left for the castle.

She asked people for directions.

The castle was very famous, because it was the biggest one around.
-성은 매우 유명하였어요, 왜냐하면 주위에서 가장 컸기때문이예요.
At sunset, she reached it.
-해질녘, 그녀는 도착하였어요.

- Beauty looked around the castle.

-그녀는 소리쳤어요, "안녕!" 하지만 아무도 대답이 없었어요.
She came in and saw a table with food on it.
-그녀는 테이블 위에있는 음식있는 곳 안으로 들어갔어요.

- Beauty thought, "This beast must be trying o make me father.
-뷰티는 생각하였어요, "이것은 야수가 나를 뚱뚱하게 만들거야.
I think he's going to eat me."

Beauty ate everything on the table.
-뷰티는 테이블 위에있는 모든것을 먹었어요.
After supper, she walked around the castle.
-저녁 식사 후, 그녀는 성 주위를 걸었어요.
There were the fine curtains and expensive carpetsm but no people.
-그곳에는 좋은 커텐과 비싼 카펫이 있었어요 하지만 사람은 없었어요.
She saw a library with thousands of books.
-그녀는 도서관으로가 수천 달러의 책들을 보았어요.
But there were no people reading them.
-하지만 거기에는 사람들이 책을 읽지 않았어요.
Then, Beauty came to a door.
-그때, 뷰티는 문 쪽으로 갔어요.
On it was a sign that read "BEAUTYS APARTMENT."
-이곳에선 "뷰티의 방" 이라고 읽고 신호를 줬어요.
"Is this my room? May be won't kill me.
-"이곳은 나의 방?" 어쩌면 나를 죽이는걸 원하지 않을지도 몰라.
