- "Now, what's your name?" the girl stopped crying.

"Cordelia? Is that your name?"

"No,it isn't, but it's a very beautiful name, don't you think?" said the girl.
-"아뇨,이것은 아니고, 하지만 나는 아름다운 이름을 갖고있어요, 그렇게 생각하지 않아요?" 그녀가 말하였어요.
"I like to imagine that my name is Cordelia, because my real name, Anne Shirley, is not very nice.
-"저는 저의 이름이 코딜리아 인것이 좋아요, 왜냐하면 나의 진짜 이름이고, 앤 셜리, 멋진것이 아니예요.
Marilla shook her head.
-마릴라는 그녀의 머리를 흔들었어요.
"This girl has too much imagination," she thought.

When the girl was in bed, Marilla spoke to Matthew.

"She must go back to the orphanage tomorrow."

She only called him by their last name when she was angry.

- Matthew was uncomfortable, and a little nervous.

"But we don't need a girl!" said Marilla.

"She'll be hard to take care of, and not much help to us."

I Love It Here.
The next morning at breakfast, Marilla said, "Well,Anne, we have decided to adopt you.

Anne started to cry.
-앤은 울기 시작하였어요.
"Why, child, what's the matter?" asked Marilla.

"I'm crying," said Anne, "because I'm so happy! I love it here! Oh, thank you, thank you!"

"Now stop crying, child," said Marilla.

She was a bit upset because Anne was crying.

When Anne met Diana, the tow girls knew that they would be best friends.

In the morning, Anne helped Marilla around the house.
