"When you were a baby, Merlin brought you to me to save your life," he explained.

"Now we must tell everyone that you are the king."

When all the knights gathered together,

Arthur was still the only one who could pull the sword from the stone.

"Arthur is king!" cried the crowd and knelt down before him.

So Arthur was crowned king and set his court at a place called Camelot.
아더는 가장 높은 왕이 되고 그는 법정에서 높은 곳을 카멜롯이라고 부르는 곳에 앉았다.

The murderer was a knight named Sir Pellinore, who had sworn to kill every knight passing through his forest.
유명한 살이범인 기사 펠리누어, 누가 서명했다 지나가는데 어느 기사보고
숲을 통하여 죽이라고.
"I shall fight Sir Pellinore myself," said Arthur and rode out the very next day.
"펠리누어는 나 자신과 싸워," 아더에게 말했다 그리고 매우 빨라 다음 날이면 타고 간다.

- On the way, he met Merlin.

"You must turn back," the wizard told him.

Merlin sighed.
멀린은 함숨을 쉬었다.
"If you insist," he said.

"그러나 다음 너의 상대는."
Suddenly, a knight appeared between the trees.
갑자기 기사가 나무사이에서 나타났다.
"Come any closer and I'll kill you!" cried the mighty knight.
"언제든지와라 너를 죽여주겠다!" 기사가 강력하게 소리쳤다.

- "Just try it!" Arthur shouted in return.

With a thunder of hooves, the two men rode at each other, gripping their lances.
천둥이 몰아치는 발굽소리, 두 남자는 각자의 것에 탔다, 주위를 끄는 그들의 창.
They hit each other so hard that their lances broke.
그들은 각자의 것으로 다른것을 때리며 단단한 그들의 창을 부셨다.
A servant brought two more and they charged again,
하인은 두개의 더큰 것을 가져왔고 그들의 싸움은 다시했다.
This time, Arthur was knocked from his horse.
시간, 아더는 그의 말을 세게 쳤다.

- Arthur clambered to his feet.

The two men fought furiously.

Then Sir Pellinore struck Arthur's sword with a massive blow and it broke in two.

"Ha! I've got you now!" shouted Sir Pellinore.
"하! 지금 너에게 얻었다!" 펠리누어가 큰 소리로 외쳤다.
"Surrender or die!"
"넘겼으니 죽음이야!"
Instead, Arthur hurled himself at the knight and wrestled him to the ground.
아더는 던지며 그 기사에게 맞붙었다.
But Sir Pellinore was stronger than Arthur and soon had pinned him down.
하지만 펠리누어는 강했다 아더는 곧 그에게 졌다.
"No mercy this time!" he growled and raised his sword to chop off Arthur's head.
"아니야 이 시간은 이정못해!" 그가 고함을 질렀다.
Then he heard a voice.
그가 목소리를 들었다.
It was Merlin.

- "Oh, yes I can!" declared Sir Pellinore.

As Pellinore spoke, Merlin cast a spell on the knight.
펠리누어가 말했다, 멀린은 기사를 던졌다.
Sir Pellinore slumped to the ground, snoring.
펠리누어는 푹 떨어져 땅에서 코를 골았다.
"He was brave, but dangerous," Merlin said to Arthur.
"그는 용감해 하지만 위험해," 멀린이 아더에게 말했다.
"Asleep, he can't hurt anyone."
"잘들고, 그는 다치게 하는 법을 알고있어."
Merlin took the wounded king to a hermit who lived nearby.
멀린은 상처 입은 수행자와 왕을 데리고 가까운데로 갔다.
The hermit tended Arthur's woends and in a few days he was better.

But Arthur was worried.

"Where am I going to get a new sword?" he asked Merlin.

Merlin's plan meant a long journey.
멀린은 긴 여행을 계획했다.
After many days, they reached the Lake of Avalon, where a strange sight rose before them.
늦은 날, 그들은 아발론 호수에 도착했다, 그들 앞 시야에 이상한 장미가.
"A hand... holding a sword," whispered Arthur.
"손... 검을 보유하고 있어," 아더가 속삭였다.
"But who is the beautiful lady on the water?"
"하지만 어느 예쁜 여자가 물에 떠있어?"
"The Lady of the Lake," Merlin replied.
"여자는 호수로 부터," 멀린이 대답했다.

As he grasped it, the hand let go.

Silently, it slid beneath the water and was gone.
조용히, 물의 아래로 미끄러지며 사라졌다.

- When Arthur got back to shore, the lady had vanished.

He showed Merlin the sword.

"It's wonderful!" Arthur exclaimed.
"굉장해!" 아더가 외쳤다.
"It is," said Merlin.

"But the scabbard is woth more.
"그러나 칼집은 더욱 훌륭할때.
As long as you wear it, you will not bleed... however badly you are injured."

Arthur returned to Camelot and settled down to rule once more.
아더는 카멜롯으로 돌아갔다 그리고 정해진 규칙을 한 차례 내렸다.
