- Dorothy and Toto soon found the yellow brick road and walked along it, past the green frelds and the blue Munchkin houses.

After a few miles Dorothy stopped and sat down on a fence beside the road.

- "We are on our way to the Emerald City, to see the Great Oz," said Dorothy.

- Just then a great lion jumped out at them.

The Lion took Dorothy next, with Toto in her arms, then the Lion went back a third time and brought the Tin Man.
