'sounds like thunder.'
'소리를 줄여야지.'
A tiny mouse was hurrying home with some corn over her dinner.
작은 쥐가 허둥지둥 집으로 가면서 그녀의 저녁 낟알을 가지고 갔다.
She was in such a rush, she didn't notice the lion and ran straight over his paw.
그녀는 달렀다, 그녀는 사자 주위에서 그의 발 위를 달리기 시작하였다.
The lion felt a tickle and woke up.
사자는 간지럼을 느껴서 잠에서 일어났다.
'This grass is soft.'
'이 풀은 부드러워.'
He grabbed the mouse in his claws.
그는 그의 발톱 안에 움켜 잡았다.
"A mouse for dinner, what a nice idea,"
"쥐를 저녁으로 먹는 좋은 생각이야,"
snarled and licked his lips.
으르렁거리고 그의 입술을 핥았다.
"Please don't eat me," squeaked the mouse.
"제발 나를 먹지마," 쥐가 찍찍 울었다.
"Let me go and I promise I'll help you out one day."
"내가 가면 나는 약속을 할게 나는 하루 너를 도와줄게."

- "Ha! You realy think a little mouse like you can help a lion like me," he sneered.
"하! 너는 정말로 작은 쥐인 네가 사자인 나를 도와줄수있니," 그는 비웃었다.
But he admired the mouse's bravery, so he let her go.
하지만 그는 쥐의 용기에 감탄을 해서 그녀를 풀어주었다.
The next day, the lion was out hunting when he tripped on a rope and set off a trap.
다음날, 사자는 사냥을 나왔다가 줄에 발이 걸려 넘어셔서 덧에 갇혔다.
A large net fell on him.
큰 그물이 그를 덮쳤다.
"Aagh!"
"Aagh!"
He struggled to free himself, but the net held him tightly.
그는 자유롭게 되고 싶어서 바둥거렸다. 하지만 그물은 그를 더 쪼였다.

- "How dare someone trap the king of the jungle,"
"정글의 왕을 누가감히 함정에 빠트렸나,"
he cried, and his voice echoed through the trees.
그는 소리쳤다, 그리고 그의 목소리가 나무를 통해서 울려펴졌다.
'How embarrassing.'
'어떻게하지.'
Far away, the mouse heard the lion's roar.
멀리서, 쥐는 사자의 포효를 들었다.
'The lion must be in trouble.'
'사자한테 문제가 있어.'
"I promised to help him and so I shall," She thought.
"나에게 문제가 생겼을때 그가 도와줬어 나또한 도울것이다."그녀가 생각했다.
She ran through the jungle as fast as she could.
그녀는 정글을 통하여 빠르게 달렸다.
"I'm here to rescue you," she told the lion.
"나는 여기에서 너는 구조할거야," 그녀는 사자한테 말하였다.

"가능성이 희박하네," 그는 대답하였다, 하지만 그곳에서는 다른 방법이 없어다.
The mouse niddled and gnawed at the net until at last the lion was free.
쥐는 머리를 숙여서 그물을 끝까지 갉아서 사자는 자유로워 젔다.
"I was wrong to doubt you, little mouse," he said.
"나는 너를 잘못 의심했어, 작은 쥐야," 그는 말했다.
"Thank you for saving my life."
"고마워 나의 생명을 구해줘서."
"Goodbye, my friend."
"잘가,나의 친구."
And the moral is ... Little friends can be great friends.
그리고 교훈은... 작은 친구가 큰 친구가 된다.
