Opening of class: Music traditional and modern from Russia and Russian doll clothes

Information about Russia:

             -government, language, flag, national anthem, major religions, climate, population

             -cultural etiquette, sports, dance, pop culture, traditional clothes/costumes, food

             -Highlights/People = Bolshoi Ballet; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, borscht, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Utopianism

Activity: Students will read the famous Russian fairytale, Father Frost.

Homework: Map of your country. What is the climate like? What is the geography of your land?
