Today in English class, we read a passage titled "The Sapporo Snow Festival." It was a descriptive text that reflected on a past experience from the present point of view. The passage gave us a great opportunity to learn and review the past tense, as all of the verbs in today’s lesson were written in their past forms.

Some of the 6th grade students were already familiar with past tense verbs, and it was wonderful to see them making connections to what they had learned before. Their prior knowledge helped them understand the passage more easily, and they were able to support their classmates during the lesson as well.
