- Yesterday I was a regular ten-year-old boy.

- I met Madam last year when I was in her tree box collecting good-smelling weeds for my deodorant-making experiment that was supposed to make me rich.

- My dad doesn't care what people call me because for most of his childhood, his nickname was Pukie.

"I can't," I told Sam.

- The next things I saw were two red and blue striped socks and two legs coming out of the upstairs bathroom window.
