We are going to adopt a boy from an orphanage in Nova Scotia."
Mrs. Rachael Lynde was completely stunned.
She had never been so shocked before.
"You can't be serious, Marilla!" she exclaimed.
"I am quite serious."

She decided to visit some other neigh-bors and gossip about Marilla and Matthew.

He was an unusual looking man.
He was also known to be extremely shy and fearful of women.
Eventually, he arrived at the train sta-tion.
He looked around but there was no train.

A passenger was dropped off for you.

She had many freckles and her thick red hair was in two braids.
She had a large mouth and eyes which were a gray-green color.
Matthew was very nervous about talk-ing to the girl.
Fortunately, she asked, "Are you Mr. Matthew Cuthbert from Green Gables?
I was worried that you weren't coming."
The girl didn't wait for an answer.

The orphanage was terri-ble.
I was only there for four months, but it was awful.
Mrs. Spencer said I was wicked for saying so.
The people were good there, but the orphanage limited my imagination.
