I agree in part with you, but not in whole. You said that children are positively affected by the zoo. However, in my opinion, children who are hard to think deeply will learn to dominate and control animals rather than learn something by watching people like trainers treat them at the zoo. You also said that it is natural for humans to pursue desires. But, It is not right to use animals as a means of making money by controlling them just because we are at the top of the food chain. We must think of the animal's position at least once.

[1111 박종연] I object to some of your comments. If the zoo really helped endangered animals, it would have controlled people's access to live as they would in the environment of the original ecosystem without being stressed. However, current zoos are used for commercial purposes, causing psychological disorders in animals. Moreover, it's just a vicious cycle of pulling some of the food chain out of its structure and putting another species at risk of extinction for the purpose of preserving the species.

[1114 송시우] First of all, I admit all the humans, including us, have a responsibility to take care of the animals in around the world. We have polluted our planet Earth too much, regardless of the fact that Earth is not our own planet. There are also other creatures in here. However, I couldn't agree with other parts of your claims. You said zoo is the only hope for endangered animals, but there are also other choices, incluing ecological park only for animals or real habitats reconstructed by humans. We have made them live in the poor condition especially since the Industrial Revolution, and it's our duty to restore their own habitats, whatever it costs. You said zoo is the only hope and yes, it may be true. However, even if it is true, we have to something else to them.
Secondly, you said zoo helps children to develop nature-friendly attitudes, but I don't think they will learn a lot looking at the caged animals. Some of them even have 'a stereotyped behavior', as mentioned in my essay. What they learn would be some friendness and extensive experiences with animals(caged), not recognizing they should try to protect these caged animals.
And finally, I don't think lasting longer means it has no problems. For example, world's one of the most absurd system, a caste system, lasted for almost all of the human history. Like it has been changed recently, I think zoo system should be changed if it has a problem.
