I agree with you that you are opposed to classifying game addiction as a disease because of the uncertainty of the cause of classifying it as a disease and the ambiguity of the diagnostic criteria of game addiction. But I focused on ‘addiction.’ All ‘addiction’ is not good. There is a saying, ‘Too much is as bad as too little.’ In other words, no matter how healing and peaceful the game is, too much is harmful. Game addiction is something that hurts our health and takes away our time. We’re losing ‘so much time’ playing games. We can spend ‘so much time’ developing ourselves or gaining more knowledge. Of course, you can think that studying too much is too much. But the game of cooling your head is only for a short period of time, not enough to be called ‘addiction.’ Also, you may have seen many cases of people killed by game addiction. Game addiction, which fails to distinguish between games and reality and causes murder, should be divided into diseases and taken action.

[2720 이서영]I agree with the opinion that the criteria for game addiction is ambiguous. But I disagree with your other opinions. If game addiction makes everyday life impossible, what would it be but a disease? Rather, if game addiction is not judged as a disease and game addicts are left unattended, the situation of patient will get worse and eventually it will make a more dangerous effect to them. I think the disease classification of game addiction is necessary.

[2827 최지애] I have a different opinion from yours. You are worried about the loss of the game industry. However, we can prevent it. Classifying game addict as a disease doesn’t mean that playing games is a disease. So, if we inform it well to the people, they will play the games just like they did. Therefore, there won’t be big loss in the game industry. By classifying game addict as a disease, we can just help the people who can’t live their basic work because of the games.

I agree with you. It interferes with our cultural industry. and I don't think game addiction should be considered a disease on the basis that the standard for game addiction is ambiguous.
I think it's more important to educate people about the game's perception and the right way of using it so that they no longer have game addicts, than to treat it as a disease in such haste now.
Also, I think it should be done after the scientific basis of illness and outbreak is revealed and more accurate standards are established to avoid the risk of being branded as a lifelong game addict by the doctor's misjudgment.
