1821 장혜원) I can see that your essay is very persuasive and has a logicality. I agree with you that classifying game addiciton will contribute to treating and developing proper cares for game addiciton. Even WHO, the world health organization, stated, that the inclusion of gaming disorder as disease will be followed by the development of treatment programs and the increased attention of such disease. Your inverse arguement that classifying game addiction as disease will change people's perspective positively was really refreshing and logical. I thought that classifying game addiction will probably cause negative public opinion about games, but after reading your essay it made me think that maybe the opposite can be true. I support your arguement for these reasons and I think that game addiction should be classified as disease.

That's why I named this argument 'the best for game users'.
Classifying game addiction as a disease is not an unconditional restriction on game players' game activities.
It is just a purpose to let people know the seriousness of game addiction behind games and to help people enjoy the game within proper standards.
True freedom can only be realized from 'positive freedom', which is in the state of having the ability to implement what one is aiming for and choosing independently. I mean the negative freedom which just let them recklessly play games can't make the situation better.

It was impressive, and I sympathize with the statistical approach that game addiction helps prevent and treat when classified as a disease. However, it is questionable whether there is any guarantee that proper standards will be provided to use the games. Games are often what people want to be addicted to, and in fact, many people become addicted. Under these circumstances, it is unlikely that the situation will get any better even if the right use is known.

As you say, even if the right standards are actually given, they won't help solve the problem if the addict ignores them due to the addictive trait of games.
But that's not what I'm trying to say.
Thinking about alcohol and cigarettes, which are a kind of addiction will help you understand my argument.
People drank as much as they wanted without any particular consciousness at the time when they included alcohol only in the category of beverages.
But you know that drinking alcohol too much is bad for your health. This kind of anxiety led to a number of studies that could reveal the causal relationship between alcohol and your health. And it has suggested to us some standards, such as “a few drinks per meal or day”.
Though there are still many alcoholics, now many people enjoy drinking culture in a healthy way with self-restraint when they drink(keeping the standard). It is contrary to the past time when people had to live in anxiety because it was only possible to speculate uncertainly that drinking too much would be bad. Also, we can say that there is an obvious difference between past and present in the aspect of change of public consciousness.

The argument that games should be classified as a disease usually has a negative side to it, but it was surprising to me that there were a lot of positive aspects. Among them, I agree with the argument that it gives me the right perception of balanced values and games. It is because it can raise awareness about games in classifying them as diseases.

Your essay’s title is so good! Do you know that WHO announced that game addiction is a disease? Your essay saw the disease od game addiction from a social perspective, including family relationships, social order and prejudice against games. So I think your essay can lead to many positive effects on the disease classification of game addiction.
